Our step by step admissions process is designed to provide ample opportunity for your family to get to know our cooperative and for us to get to know you and vour child. Families are accepted into our cooperative once they meet our required admissions procedures.

Are you a school?
No, we are not a school, we are a homeschool cooperative. We believe parents are the primary educators and disciplers of their children. The Foundations Academy is a Biblically- focused educational program in Odessa, Florida, that offers academic and enrichment opportunities, as well as educational resources for homeschool families. We come alongside parents who homeschool their children by providing a variety of classes taught by qualified educators and career professionals, while parents maintain full control over their children's education.
Where do you meet?
Our program is a full day, drop off style, cooperative environment where parent involvement is a mandatory part of helping our community thrive. We partner with parents to build a lifestyle of education, where we learn and grow together. We will meet 4 days a week Monday through Thursday 9am-2:30pm at a rural, historic farm setting in Odessa. Additional information regarding the location, academic calendar & schedule snapshots will be provided during our informational sessions.
What grades do you offer?
For the 2026-2027 academic year, we will offer academic, enrichment, and elective opportunities for Grades K-5. We offer small "pod style" flexible learning environments with 8 children per pod. This provides the opportunity for the educator to tailor the educational experience to meet the needs of the learners in their group. We believe in a hands-on approach, with short lessons and diverse offerings, where the focus is on skill mastery, curiosity, autonomy, and nurturing the whole child, rather than standard performance based teaching solely for tests and grades.
What does a parent partnership look like at Foundations?
At Foundations Academy, professional educators lead the day-to-day instruction for core academics and enrichment classes. Families support learning at home through simple, meaningful activities that complement the curriculum.
Parent partnership also includes volunteering within the community in ways that align with each family’s strengths and availability. Monthly parent meetings, an orientation process, and occasional parent workshops are part of our cooperative model and help ensure strong communication, shared expectations, and a connected community.
